How Red Lipstick can Brighten your Day

Like many of you all over the world, I’ve been worrying about the impacts of COVID-19.
Yes, I know that worrying isn’t the right course of action.
Yet, I worry and feel miserable at times.
And, I’m sure I’ll worry about this pandemic again, and again.
But for today, for this morning, I choose to put on my red lipstick and make my day a little brighter.
I’ll participate in my group calls, and feel a bit better when I look at myself on the video camera.
I’ll clean the house and do laundry and send a colorful kiss to my husband, who now works from home.
I’ll, possibly, go for an afternoon walk, after calling my mom, and chatting with a few friends.
Indeed, I’ll breathe slowly as I reapply my red lipstick. This act will be a reminder that I can do something other than worrying at this moment.

How are you making your quarantine days a little brighter?
